Clarinet Quintets, awarded with ‘Melómano de Oro’
CD ‘Clarinet Quintets’, recorded by José Luis Estellés and the Jousia Quartet for the label IBS Classical Gold, containing the quintets by W. A. Mozart and C. M. von Weber has been awarded with the “Melómano de Oro” by the specialised magazine MELÓMANO, in its march, 2016 edition.
New CD release, Gabriel Erkoreka music for VERSO
The new CD for the VERSO label (Contemporary & Spanish Music) has been already released. It contains a monographic program devoted to composer Gabriel Erkoreka (1969), in which I participate in collaboration with Trío Arbós. Please find more information on VERSO label’s web page.
José Luis Estellés at the National Auditorium in Madrid
José Luis Estellés has a new appearance at the Sala Sinfónica of Madrid’s Auditorio Nacional de Música next november 21th, 7:30 pm, on a concert included in the ‘Ciclos Musicales de la Comunidad de Madrid – ORCAM’.
In this occassion he is performing ‘Vino, regalo divino’ for solo clarinet, choir and orchestra, by Paris-based composer José Manuel López López, together with Orquesta y Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid conducted by maestro José Ramón Encinar.
‘Vino, regalo divino’ was premiered by José Luis Estellés and the same partners at this very venue on 30th of april, 2002. This concert will be its second public creation.
Jose Luis conducts the National Youth Orchestra of Spain on Tour

After his two previous succesful programs with the National Youth Orchestra of Spain as a guest conductor (2004 with works by Varese, Xenakis, de Paz and Schoenberg, and 2008 with the premiere of Jorge Fernández Guerra’s La Esfera de Pascal and the production of Kurt Weill’s Die Sieben Todsünden de Kurt Weill with Frederic Amat’s stage direction in Semana Religiosa de Cuenca), José Luis Estellés returnes to take the baton in a program that, in addition to the premiere of Nuria Núñez’s Donde se forjan las quimeras, commisioned by the Consorcio para la Conmemoración del Bicentenario de la Constitución de Cádiz de 1812, includes Variaciones Concertantes op. 23 by Alberto Ginastera, La Valse – Poème choréographique by Maurice Ravel and Ludwig van Beethoven’s 7th Symphony op. 92 , according to following calendar:
